The Space: Our modern, family-friendly cabin is packed with beautiful furnishings and decor, amenities and fun for couples, families or groups of friends. The cabin includes: - 3 bedrooms, 1 with a queen bed, 1 with 2 sets of standard bunks, and the indulgent primary bedroom with wood burning stove and private access to the primary bath - 2 full baths, 1 common bath with custom tile tub/shower and 1 primary bath with custom tile shower and floating tub - Fully-equipped kitchen with custom cabinetry, stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher - Smart TV where you can quickly sign-in to your favorite streaming service - Wood burning stove to stay cozy on chilly nights - WiFi strong enough for streaming movies and taking video calls - AC and heat to keep you comfortable, no matter the weather - Washer and dryer Outside, you’ll also find: - Hot tub perfect for relaxing after an afternoon hike - Huge deck with a propane grill We often take our three little kids and dog to the cottage with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic). Our cabin is located in The Woods Resort, a private community with an 18-hole golf course, spa, a restaurant and pub, and miles of walking/hiking trails. It’s considered the best course in the area, and the pub food is pretty great too! (Note: the golf course charges a modest fee for use = $15 for all 18 holes. There’s also a fitness center and indoor/outdoor pools at the resort, but these are for member use only, unfortunately.) Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close to everything we are. The cabin is 5 minutes to Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area with nearly 23,000 acres of old growth forest that’s full of hiking trails and hosts a large lake. The Hedgesville / Berkeley Springs area is great for so many reasons -- and Magnolia Grove is just a short drive to everything. The town of Berkeley Springs has been voted one of the top arts communities in the US, with dozens of shops and restaurants, and even a brewery and winery! Note: in early April, a small fire (caused by a downed powerline) occurred near the cabin. It burned the undergrowth and pine needles on the forest floor near one side of the cabin. Luckily the fire stopped about 20 feet away from the cabin, and there was no damage to the cabin, outdoor deck, or hot tub. And all the trees in the forest are also still standing. That said, until the grass grows a little (likely through the spring) you'll likely notice some burnt patches in the forest around the cabin. It's completely safe, and shouldn't disrupt your stay -- but we just wanted you to be aware. A good reminder to take care when using the fire pit. :)
