If you want to hear kids screaming and not feel like nature this is your spot. We stopped May 3 in the afternoon and it was unbelievably packed, there wasn’t any parking so the ranger let us park near the gate. Pretty spot but I wouldn’t go back unless it’s the middle of winter.
One of my favorite outdoor places in Washington State. You can camp here, take short walks, take long walks, and run for miles. There's a lake and quarry ponds, all the trails are shaded and in a forest setting. There are maps at every trail intersections so you'll not get lost. Discovery pass required to the main area, and it's totally worth it
