Mike's Beach Resort

I'll start off by saying when I was little My mother and my aunt worked here preparing food for all the groups of divers that would come. My best friend in elementary school lived across the street and so we would run around all over the place. Between riding quads on the hillside above the resort and swimming in the warm hood canal water I have many a fond memory of this beautiful place.

The perfect experience - a day trip from Seattle. Matthew and Sara - gracious, knowledgeable hosts. Each attendee’s station is set up w glove, knife, cutting board, tray and makings for your own mignonette for those tasty morsels you’ll learn to shuck that have been harvested early in the morning out of the icy Hood Canal waters abutting the property. Learned a lot - and earned my Oyster 101 Shucking Certificate 😉. Lunch provided for our group along with BBQ-ed oysters made by hosts - lil parm, lil panko- heaven in an oyster shell. Very cool and unique experience- highly recommend

Loved my time at Mike’s Beach Resort! The location and views are stunning, and every person working there was so sweet and welcoming. We are already planning my next trip back. The rooms have a bit of a rustic vibe, but they’re exactly what you’d expect from a cozy cabin stay.
