Meteor Crater RV Park

We stopped here for the night. We got there about an hour early asked if we could go to our site. Mind you the park was empty. They said no you have to wait until 1:00pm. I said there's nobody here. They proceeded to tell me there would be a early arrival charge. We've been across country 3 time stayed many places. Never was charged for early entry. The next morning we wanted to get a early start on the road. They had the gates blocked with cones to the exit. Beautiful location with wide, spacious RV spots—definitely a highlight of the stay. That said, I’m giving 2 stars due to strict pet policies and customer interactions were handled by Amanda. Upon check-in their computers were slow so I was not given my paperwork with a re-entry code, which left me unable to leave and return, to use the showers or other facilities I was paying for. I went to the office the next morning to get WiFi and gate codes. I mentioned to a woman (Amanda) who appeared to be in management that the dog waste bag stations were not stocked—but that it wasn’t a big deal sin…

RV Park was nice on the outside, but the shower/bathroom areas were very dirty with broke toilets and missing parts. Two rooms f the showers were lock closed. Wouldn’t recommend if you need to use those facilities.

We stayed at Meteor Crater RV Park for 2 weeks. Surprised at how many activities we found to keep ourselves busy in the area including a day trip to Grand Canyon. The location was a good base camp. Most folks seemed to use the location as an overnight stop. There were only a handful of us that did an extended stay. The park has very easy access in/out as well as easy to maneuver inside the grounds. The comments regarding the main gate being narrow is true but NOT a negative, NOT anything to worry about.
