Campground in the Everglades NP. Lots of wildlife, trails and biking. Highly recommend!
Very quiet, nice back in spots easy to pull around and angle in, there's a big pond so you get lots of birds and other animals congregating. Beautiful park. The camper spots are the only thing paved at the campsite and there's a lot of sand, so it really feels like camping 😆. No one was driving recklessly but you are right on the campground roadway, so we had to keep reminding the kids to stay off the road.
We had a wonderful stay at Long Pine Key Campground. The campsites are very spacious, the staff is friendly, and the lake scenery is beautiful and peaceful. One of the highlights was grilling fish we had caught earlier in West Key right at our campsite. A truly memorable experience—highly recommended!
Nice campground for a quick weekend to explore the everglades. The sites are reasonably sized and separated from others. The bathrooms and showers looked well maintained too. Just make sure you have a flashlight on while walking in the dark to keep an eye out for snakes
