There were good number of dispersed campsites along the road and a few outhouses. Bring your own toilet paper. There are hiking trails including a trail to get to Rocky Mountain National Park. It is such a beautiful place with lakes along the road. The view of high mountains with timberline above those lakes are breathtakingly beautiful. You will also see the scars from wildfires. It's a well maintained road but still a dirt road. Visitors should drive with caution. It's a popular place and you can't avoid vehicles and people.
