Fun park in the summer months. Wonderful fishing pier and beach.
Average state park experience. Not a big lake but an enjoyable walk nonetheless. As far as MO parks go there’s much better scenery elsewhere. If you live in Macon then for sure check it out.
When I was in middle school my mom used to take us camping here every summer that we lived in Missouri. It's been about 15 years since we were last here. It's changed a little bit from when I was a kid which with life change always happens. It had rained the day before so the lake was up and the campground was closed but my sister and I got to enjoy fishing for a couple of hours and visiting the old haunts again. It's a beautiful place to fish or just take a walk in.
