Koomer Ridge has clean well maintained campsites. It is my favorite campground near Red River Gorge and close to all trails. I recently lost my national parks senior pass. Campground host found it an called me to return it. That is exceptional service.
Wonderful Guest Services! Site was Clean and Level. Fire pit with cooking grate. Convenient Potable Water well access points through out facility. Paved roads. Vault toilets on nearly every loop. Plumbed Clean bathroom shower house. Sites have single and double access, small and short, stairwells, ramps, and handicap accessibility.
Camp Host is very receptive. Bath house is good. Campsites are spaced well.
there is a lot of noise from the mountain parkway
We parked and hiked the trails. We did not actually camp. The area is nice, the parking lot was safe and clean. The trails were moderate with steep stairs, many roots and uneven terrain. We had a great time and really enjoyed the hike.
