Quiet, out of the way, well kept public campground. Saw turkeys, raccoons, snakes, birds and more. Prairie flowers gorgeous. Night sky amazing (dark sky designated). If you’re into this type of camping , it’s a gem. If you want to drink beer and raise hell on your 4 wheeler, this ain’t it. Cheap, we will be back. The prairie hike is great , the hammock loop even better.

Great place to get away. We went during the week and the place was basically empty. Gorgeous sunsets and quiet mornings. Also, they have cell service now, it’s not great but it works.

Except for the extremely long off roads to get here, no complaints
