Great state park with beautiful trails, views and a fishable river. Many swimming spots. Tent, rv, and yurt camping spots available for rent. Hookups and facilities like showers and bathrooms are available. Great for just a day or stay a week. Lots of shade. Covered and open picnic tables and BBQs available. Fire pits as well. Pets welcome on leash. Spots to enter river for kayak or rafting or tubing during warmer months with exits down stream. Cars need a discover pass for parking or $10 day use fees.
Wonderful for families to go explore. Easy access to the river. There is a nice trail with wildflowers as well.
This park is on the Green River and the smell of fish in certain areas would tell me it's a great spot for fishing. I had a grey heron fly over me and land on a tree, so I stared at it for awhile to see if it would fly off and I could get a pic of the wings spread, but no such luck. I love all the mossy trees and of course Fall colors. Nolte State Park and Green River Gorge State Park are not far if you want to spend a day visiting a few State Parks.
