Took a hike here for the first time. The trails are lovely and there are several scenic overlooks. The cabins and campsites look nice. I will be going back. Update: On out latest visit, we hiked the longer Jenny Jump trail, about 8 miles. It's well maintained, with a couple of really nice overlooks. No parking lot was near the far south end, but there is a nice lot at the north end of Mountain Lake. On a weekday in April, we only saw one other hiker on the trail
Beautiful state park, some campsites need work. Park rangers very nice and helpful and know a lot about the area. The lodges are very clean with bunks. Trails pretty easy to traverse without many rocks like others. Pictured below is the playground and a campsite (#19). And the bathrooms are right next to the playground.
Love it here!! But a sign should be posted for the alcohol bottles n cig butts i hv to lick each time i go here, which is prob 4-6 times a week, THIS BEHAVIER IS UNEXCEPTABLE!! PICK UP AFTER URSELVES!! THX!
Cozy cabins! We had so much fun. Beautiful rocky hikes just leaving from the cabins. We hiked to Ghost lake for fishing.
