Jellystone Park™ Chincoteague Island

We have been to 5 Jellystone Parks in the VA/MD/PA area for the past several years. The main positive about this one is its proximity to the national wildlife refuge and ability to rent e-bikes to go outside the grounds. Most of the other Jellystone parks have water parks similar to Maui Jacks so that is a break even. The reason for losing stars here was the lack of effort to provide weekend activities for the kids. It is a great looking place. People are friendly and the Maintenance crew was on top of everything. Especially the lead man. We were there kind of off season and it was windy, blustery and cold. But any day at the beach and in nature is a good day!

Yogi Bear should be ashamed! This place is a dump. Our reservation was for April 19, 2026. We arrived, checked in, drove to our RV site, and promptly left. Horrified at the terrible condition the entire camp is in. Just a couple of weeks before "the season" begins and it is in very bad shape. Very tight RV sites, almost no gravel, mostly dirt, very unlevel. The roads were equally bad. We saw the cabins in dire need of paint on the outside and some wood repairs needed.
