Hummingbird Ranch

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. While there were a few other campers, there’s plenty of room to spread out so you can still feel like you’re in quiet solitude. We enjoyed just chilling in the beautiful meadow, overlooking awesome views of the Spanish Peaks, and driving nearby (45 min) to Bishop’s castle. And, we saw the namesake hummingbirds — in fact they divebombed our camper door at one point. 😂 Road is good, even after some pretty decent rain, and we did fine in our 30ft 5th wheel.

The land is open and beautiful and relatively untouched. There are deer and antelope ever where. The mountain views are extraordinary.

We had a great time, the property is wide open. We found the sweet spot down by the creek bed and it was perfect for us, thank you Jamie!

The place itself was nice but it was quite unclrear where we could park and put up our tent so we felt a bit unsure. Also, the vault toilet hasn't been emptied for quite some time so it was a bit gross... No water at all was available (maybe this was in the description and I didn't see but it's generally nice to have some water available to wash hands or so).

Site is comfortable for privacy and incredible views. Like all barren lands, the ground is not super tent friendly but definitely doable in many spaces. Overall, awesome experience and breath taking views.

We had the best time camping at Hummingbird Ranch! As mentioned in previous reviews the location was convenient, the paths on the property were pretty well maintained (and not too bumpy) and the property was beautiful! We camped at "the sweet spot" and loved it. There is a porta-potty by the entrance of the property and a set of shower stalls (which did not work). We would definitely come back!
