Smack dab in the middle of the black hills. Easy day trips to Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, Sturgis, Spearfish, and Custer State Park. The campground is clean, staff is friendly, and they have a variety of camping and accommodations. Almost all of the park is in the trees with ample shade available. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to a future stay.
DONT BOOK IF YOU DONT HAVE PROOF OF DOG VACCINATIONS. Booked this place over a week prior to our trip. They called an hour before we checked in (30 min before they closed) to tell us we needed proof of vaccinations emailed to them. When we said we didn’t have them (we’re on vacation) we were forced to cancel the booking on the spot, and there was no refund since it was too close to booking even though it was their fault. Incredibly frustrated with this place. There’s no ‘vaccination proof’ rule listed on the entire site nor when we booked.
