Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA Journey

Nice campground with great access to the national park and also close to restaurants in Holbrook. The campground is all rock, but what do you expect for Arizona? The sites are level and spacious and the laundry room has nice machines. The staff is very friendly. The pic is from site 86, an extra wide site. Wi-Fi was a little unreliable for connecting with our computer.

Convenient place, but the pool was closed, there was construction equipment all over the place, the office didn't open at 8:00 AM as advertised, and the bathrooms were just okay (not terribly clean). The sites were packed a little too close for comfort as well. With that said, staff was very friendly and helpful with checkout, propane refill, and waste dumping. Also, cool old-school playground.

We had a very nice campsite with a private, walled area. It had a fire pit, gas grill and seating areas. The whole campsite is very well maintained and the check in offers ice and a host of other convenience items. ON THE DOWNSIDE: The grill was filthy (bring your own grill cleaning supplies or just use your own grill) and the WIFI was basically non-existent. We made numerous calls to the check in but either nothing was done or what was attempted made no difference.
