Hoh Rain Forest Campground

This review score is for the campground loop-A only. We were very disappointed the best loops / sites were closed (early Oct). Last time we visited, we were just passing through and fell in love with the riverfront sites. Our dream was to come back and camp. We did come back 15 years later only to find loop-A sites open. Words cannot explain the disappointment! Loop-A sites we 2 stars only. The trails and rainforest is absolutely beautiful, just don't camp here in the fall/winter.

We loved our campsite #14. It was near the river. Not river view but a small trail by the site lead you right to the river! We got lucky on a first come first serve.

We absolutely loved staying at Hoh Rain Forest Campground, this is one of those places that feels completely immersive and unlike anywhere else. Located deep within Olympic NP, right along the Hoh River, the setting is unreal. Towering trees covered in moss, constant mist, and that quiet, damp forest atmosphere, it feels like stepping into another world. The campground itself is fairly simple but well maintained. One of the top 3 natural quietist places on this Earth.. ..So please, be quiet. ....The only thing that is not perfect about this place are the humans that disregard anyone or anything around them. Yelling down the trail of the Hall of Moss, yelling at the campsite, yelling in the bathroom, yelling because you can't stand peace and quiet since society has programmed us to not be able to stand life without blinking lights and 3 second long videos on you phone.
