This historic lodge is the original homestead of the ranch, and it was built in the 1800s. It has a cozy dining area with a fireplace, a lounge with large windows for enjoying the views, and a large deck shaded by cottonwood trees. There are five individual rooms for rent that are furnished and decorated in a charming southwestern style. They each have a private, tiled bathroom. Please note that there is a three-night minimum stay at this accommodation. All facilities were recently renovated and are surrounded by extensive grounds. Enjoy the large back patio amongst century-old Cottonwoods, complimentary maid service and laundry facilities, as well as a hot tub with lovely views of the mountains and sand dunes. There is a rustic, lodge-style dining room on site that serves gourmet food for every meal. The on site gourmet chef creates spectacular home-style menus often featuring ranch-raised bison and beef as well as locally grown vegetables and produce. These are served in either of two dining rooms – in the outside dining area on calm evenings or the beautiful indoor dining room with large windows and a fireplace. This property serves its own grass-fed beef and bison along with local, organic produce. The food style is down home gourmet and meals are served family style. Breakfast is served at 8:00 am, sack lunches of guests' choice are provided to take with them on activities and dinner is at 6:00 pm. This host will serve a glass of wine with appetizers and any further alcohol must be brought to the ranch.
