Spent a relaxing weekend here with friends and enjoyed the campsites, full hookups amenities and the family-friendly atmosphere of the campground. The camp store is surprisingly well-stocked with a variety of camping needs and last-minute items you may have forgotten to bring.
We stayed at the Hillman Ferry camp grounds. A really nice place, we'll camp there again when we get to Kentucky and the people are really friendly.
If you’re looking for a relaxing camping trip where you feel welcomed and treated fairly… yeah, Hillman Ferry Campground might not be the place. First off, apparently this is the only campground on Earth where a golf cart becomes a federal offense. We got our golf cart privileges taken away because of an “underage driver” situation. Meanwhile, there were literal kids whipping around on motorized vehicles like it was Mario Kart, but yeah, we were the problem. Then there’s the “community policing” situation.
