Hersheypark Camping Resort

love this camping resort!

The redeeming factor about this campground is its close proximity to all of Hershey attractions. HOWEVER, if you plan to spend any amount of time camping at your RV, stay somewhere else. We have a 40' Class A dieselpusher and we are here now (off-season and it's mostly empty). The check-in staff was very nice but, despite the mostly empty campground, we were disappointed to be assigned a spot crammed in between 3 other campers. I called the front desk and asked to be moved to another larger spot away from other campers. Unfortunately, we were moved to #178 which is so narrow we can't …

RV sites are extremely tight, very close to one another. The neighbors fire pit was only 6 ft from our camper. Our RV had a slide out and we were honestly concerned about it hitting the neighbors that we actually let them know we were extending it. Tried to take a shower and there was no hot water. So I walked across the campground to the other shower building that was combined with the laundry building. I thought that sinse they had washers there, there will be plenty of hot water. Again, I was wrong, no hot water there either. Walked across the campground for nothing. Very disappointed …

This is our 2nd time here and we plan on continuing to come back! Our kids love it here - even if it's raining. There is a pool that we haven't gotten to use yet - due to not being here while it's open. There are playgrounds and plenty of space to ride your bikes. We have came here in Oct and this time it's the end of April. We stay in our camper right on the river, but there are little cabins to rent. There is a common campfire area, basketball, horse shoes, volleyball, carrousel seating areas, and probably more that I haven't seen. You can buy tickets to Hershey Park and they offer a free s…
