Even planning was made simple, event staff were helpful, and catering staff went above and beyond! We had an excellent 3 days at HH State Park and hope to return in the future.
There was no on, off or low AC setting. It ran at a super high fan speed. It ran all night. The heat didn't appear to work at all. The thermostat was very dated. Nothing seem to work on it. We froze every night. We notified the front desk the morning after our first night's stay. They said maintenance would fix it. We got into the motel late on the second night assuming the issue had been taken care of. It wasn't. We just dealt with it the last night.
DO NOT HAVE A WEDDING THERE!!!! My daughter just had hers there and when we first booked it was supposedly going to be about 3 grand with food. Fast forward after signing contract it was almost 7 grand. And now weeks after wedding they are trying to say she owes more!!! Like 900 more!!! They are rip offs!!!! And that was for breakfast food!!! And the whole time the servers were out back smoking. They charged over 200 dollars to move chairs from the front of the room to the tables after ceremony. THIS IS A STATE PARK!!!!! TOTALLY CRAZY. Not to mention construction that made guest drive all …
