Hearthstone Cabins and Camping, Helen, GA

When camping I don't expect my campsite to be next to a huge pile of lumber and several broken down vans. It felt like a junkyard. The "swimming" hole is a pond filled with algae and trash. The showers and outhouses seemed well maintained. The location to town was good.

What a dump! Not a nice place I felt like I was camping in a scrap/junk yard. Broken down vehicles at every turn. Worst I have ever been to.

Stayed for 7 nights in the single tent site. The location and its simple amenities are quaint and relaxing. There is noise and light discipline, respect for personal space, and working with the environment and terrain, not against it. It was a nice re-introduction to camping and a nice jump off for my first solo camp trip with my senior experienced dog and my energy-off-the-chain newbie pup. The tent sites are to me the perfect size.
