Hagerstown / Antietam Battlefield KOA Holiday

This place wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t great either. Lots of seasonal sites and the place has a bit of a rundown feel to it. I thought I had booked a full hook up site but when looking at my confirmation it said only water and electric. I called and they said no problem to move me to a full hook up. The site was small and then another fifth wheel pulled into the site next to us and there was literally only a couple feet between our slides. Hagerstown / Antietam Battlefield Campground is a cute and peaceful place, especially if you enjoy being close to history and nature. The setting is nice and it has a quiet charm to it. However, it is **not ideal for big rigs**. We have a 39-foot motorhome, and getting in was stressful—the roads leading to the campground are very tight with limited room to maneuver. Once inside, the sites themselves are also quite cramped, making it difficult to navigate and get properly set up. One major issue is arriving after dark. We stayed on 4/6/26 the road entrance is very bumpy. The staff member at the store was very pleasant but the store was not fully stocked. I did notice that there were very loud boom sounds not sure what it was but it did shake the camper😡 I will not stay there again if I don’t have to

I highly recommend this KOA. It’s in a beautiful setting, they have activities for the kids, a store, and a restaurant also. But the best thing about them is their staff!! We pulled in after a 3500 mile trip from the West Coast heading home to New York. This was our final stop, but when we got here, my husband had heart issues and had to go to the hospital. When I inquired about staying an additional night, they said our site was full, but called the other travelers and asked if they would be OK with moving to a different site for the night.
