TLDR; Tent: no, RV: yes. This is my experience as a tent camper. My review would be very different if we were in an RV. While the website says all of the sites are for both tents or RVs, they are not. The site we chose (40) is right along the creek and had a very small spot for our tent (a 6 person Coleman Skydome) to actually fit between a tree and the paved parking spot/RV spot and it was 100% rock. We did not have the option to set up our tent on grass at our campsite. Thank goodness we got into town in enough time to run to Sportsman's Warehouse and buy some stronger tent stakes. Ou…
One of the best campgrounds I have been to. I car camped at site #40. The river flows right behind the campsite. You could have fire and coffee and watch at the river flow. The whole campground is filled with trees which provides a lot of shadow. I came in April and it was raining and cool. There are flushable toilets. Each site has electrical outlet and water. You have necessary connectors for an RV.
Glad we stayed at this National Park campground. Close to the city and we did a great hike to the lookout tower. When I first checked the shower room, I chose to shower in the camper. Wasn't that clean. The other bathrooms were clean. There is just one shower for the whole campground. One for men and one for women. Sites are not level. We used all the blocks we had to get level. Our Class A friends could not get in to any of the sites. The sites by the creek looked better. I would try to get those sites next time instead of on the hill. All in all, a nice campground.
