We were here for the fishing derby and the kids caught nothing not even a bite they said they put 140 fish in the trout pond but there was only like 45 and the site we were at was tilted and the ladies at the desk decided to yell at me. The bathrooms need to be clean i wish I could put money into this but right now it is just rotting. DON'T RECOMMEND

Great place to take the family!

Go to this place if you want, but not if you have children. The owner has made it CRYSTAL clear that he would prefer if kids never entered his property. This is despite hosting an event that brings literally hundreds of kids to the campground, year after year. He also won’t be shy about intimidating you, your children, or cussing out your 11 year old - because that’s how responsible business owners operate, correct? An unattended automated insurance line gives better service. My wife and I stayed at Granite Hill in August of 2024 for their annual Bluegrass Festival. It was nice enough that we booked the same site for the next year, this year August 2025, for $700 (not an insignificant amount, at least to us). This included the site in a field with electric, water, no sewer, and the festival. In July, I called to add 2 more adults to our site. I was changed an additional $50. No problem.
