We camped here one night. Great camping, hiking and biking. We took the bike trail from town and made the loop around the park - very pretty ride. In the evening we hiked the Sunset Lake trail and did indeed see a lovely sunset as well as many deer, wood ducks and a couple swans.
We’ve visited this park multiple times over the years, and it continues to be one of our favorite parks- it's quiet with a variety of activities. The prairie landscape is beautiful and open, and the lake is especially peaceful since it doesn’t allow motorized boats. It creates a calm, quiet atmosphere that’s perfect for fishing, I think we've had luck with panfish, northern, and bass. One thing we really appreciate is the rental setup. While it’s not directly run through the park, the separate company is easy to access and very user-friendly. Everything is well organized, and it adds a lot to…
