Glen Oaks Big Sur

Not a kid friendly property - you call them to book and they will tell you that kids make noise and are a nuisance.

Part of me does not want to write a review because this hotel is so incredibly special and I don't want anyone to know about it. Big Sur is powerful and has healing energy in its nature. This place is no exception, and is our favorite place to stay. There are really no words to express the beauty and peaceful energy of this place. I will start by saying this is one of the more beautiful properties I have ever stayed on. The setting is incredibly peaceful, and we stayed in The Bridge House, which is a gorgeously designed architectural gem. I wish we had stayed longer to use the fabulous kitchen!||However, even in the off-season, The Bridge House is outrageously priced, and the level of service you get is below even the most average hotel -- much less an almost $3K a night cabin. This roadside inn was the right amount of retro and modern in one package. It’s a great location if you don’t want to be in the thick of the crowds. They put care and attention into the details of the decor, provisions, and definitely the landscaping.

Loved the private trail. The room with the fireplace was cozy. The heated tiles in the bathroom were such a nice touch. We will definitely be back!
