Thank you to the awesome staff that let me camp at campsite 7 for a few hours on a Sunday. Been wanting to try out my new camping gear and pack my 2024 Triumph Speed Twin 900 for my first ever motocamping adventure. This was my first time at Givhans Ferry State Park and it had everything I needed. Only there a few hours but I will be back. Clean campsite bathroom and showers. Tent sites look amazing. Didn’t explore much as I was in test mode but the park is wonderful and about an hour from Folly Beach my launch 🚀 point. If you go take 61 from West Ashley. That route is awesome. See ya soon Gi…

My husband and I wanted to take our kayaks down the Edisto and had heard this was a great place to launch. Website even advertises a kayak launch. Got there around 930am and the park was full of people. There was no place to park. The restrooms were closed (due to all the toilets overflowing - water was all over the floor. It was pretty disgusting). The kayak launch was only accessible via foot down a steep concrete hill. There were people headed down the hill by the dozens with strollers and stuff for picnics.
