This is a great basecamp for an extended visit to Freeport, Maine. Easily accessible to the interstate too.
Most KOA's are right off the highway. This one is pushed back just far enough to be nice and quiet. We've workamped for KOA and stayed at many in our travels. This one is ranked pretty high. They even have stables! Sites are pretty level. For a KOA the sites in the woodline are spaced out and roomy. Cost per night was great too! We will be staying again for sure!

We travel around the U.S., Mexico and Canada with our 5 dogs. We usually seek out KOAs because we feel welcome with that many dogs and there usually aren’t any ridiculous limits on how many dogs you can have. We were on our way to Canada and were so happy to find this campground was open as many in the northeast are not open yet in mid-April. We felt very welcome at this campground with our 5 canine children. We came in after hours - our map and envelope were waiting for us on the board. Easy to find our spot. Nice, big dog park.
