Our family of 6 with 4 kids stayed in the cabins at Fort Wilderness Campground on a recent Disney trip. The camp has easy access to Magic Kingdom by boat if you are in proximity to the boat. There is a huge catch to this resort in order to make it functional for your visit. You can park your vehicle at your location (cabin, tent, RV), however, you absolutely need to rent a golf cart to enjoy the resort. It’s very large and that’s how people get around. I would also note that it’s absolutely a campground, so that’s the level of resort it is. The pool areas are nice but also reflect that. …
Vacation with grandkids.
Fort wilderness is awesome. Stayed in a camper in the campground. Places to swim, play, and eat all very convenient. It is great to have a place to relax after being at the parks and not dealing with people running up and down halls and still getting early access to the parks. Highly recommend staying at the campground.
