We are a 5 Acre property along the Stanislaus River below the shade trees with 2 private beaches and boat launch. We are located between Oakdale and Knights Ferry and just a short drive to Yosemite Valley. Enjoy river raft trips, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing etc. This property can accommodate tent camping, dry RV and group camping. We even hold weddings and events. Group rates, $25.00 per person , per night. Disclaimer: Fire ban in effect! We offer a community fire pit to all and we provide the firewood. We do allow propane firepits for your personal site. Our property is our home and our business and is not a public park. Registered guests only.

Awesome place! Ed and Heather are amazing hosts and have the site set up with tables and trash, cans and plenty of room in between other campers. Access to the river is super easy and it’s calm right around their beach. Ed put our paddle boards in the back of his truck and took us upriver for an amazing float. I highly recommend staying at Flip Flop Flat!
We had a great stay at Flip Flop Flat! We were the only campers there for the weekend so we really got to take advantage of the entire space which was great. Ed and Heather have two adorable labs who frolic about the campground which our dog totally loved! Being right on the water was truly a delight for us and our dog. The amenities were nice–super great to have a outdoor sink/shower to wash up in as needed!
Flip Flop Flat was like disappearing into another world. It was so relaxing and all our needs were met in such a timely way that I will be going back again for sure! Ed was super friendly and so were his pups. (They got along a little too well with mine, wanting to play all day long.) He brought us a kayak (even though we ended up just sitting next to it on the beach all day), lit the fire pit, got the grill ready for us, and even taught me how to lasso a steer! Even the rain, one night when we were there, was pleasant. It shrouded us in white noise keeping us both asleep for more than 12 h…
The place is lovely and the host was supper kind, friendly, helpful and welcoming. We would definitely like to come again for longer stay!
Love it. We stayed at Happy Paws - a private dog beach. Our dog Bodhi made friends with the two young labs that live at Flip Flop Flat. It's certainly a dog friendly spot. Ed, the owner went OUT OF HIS WAY to make sure we had the grand tour and helped immediate clear a few tree limbs to get our trailer precisely where we wanted it. If you love water and dogs, this is your next camp spot!
