Flanners Beach Campground

It’s been a couple of years since I have been here at Flanners. Absolutely love coming here. The park is well established and shady. There is an asphalt walk path that completely goes around the park. Also has benches to rest along the way for a little rest. The bathhouse is very clean. The sites are 30 and 50 amp. There is no full hookup. However, there is a dump station and water spigots around the park. You will need to bring your own drinking water. Great news is the beach access is open. Sites are spacious most have electric. There are tent sites that are primitive. Dump station and water fill up is just outside of campground. The campground is secluded, quiet and very relaxing. Located just off the Neuse river. There is a trail for water access. Hosts are professional, friendly and helpful. This is a national park not a resort. Please treat it well.

Nice, quiet COE camping. Sites are nice size and feel private as there are woods between sites. Some electric. Some not. Some sites are double sites, for family members to camp two rigs together which is cool. Storm took out the retaining wall, beach area, however, there is a path at far end that has beach access. Little too far for us to carry our kayaks, but we still enjoyed it as well as our dog scout. Not sure about swimming. I would ask camp host.
