Fairmont RV Park

We had the misfortune of next to no electrical service at our RV space #217 Our pull behind 24' Travelaire trailer was converted to run on electricity and we were counting on shore power for our ceiling heater and battery bank charging. The park electrical power infrastructure seems insufficient to supply all of the resort (a minimum of 30 amps) at the same time. The breaker did not trip, so it wasn't a problem at the RV space like a weak breaker. We spent only one of our booked 3 nights and weren't offered a refund.

It gets 3 stars just for the fact that you can park a camper here. Full time campsite residents, encountered 4 piles of dog crap just setting up, most likely for the full time Great Pyrhenees. Crabby staff, that seems like they don’t want you there. The Hot springs are amazing, but they’re a seperate business. This place just piggybacks on the hot springs being next door. Aside from that it’s nothing but a crappy motel version of a campsite where you can’t have fires.

Not for van owners! They did not give us any information when we called trying to reserve a site other than we had to be there by 6pm in person to make a reservation and wouldn’t do it over the phone, we arrived around 5:45 and were denied service as they do not allow vans…it’s a ram promaster, it’s not like we were sleeping in the back of our sedan. Now we can’t go to the hot springs either!

The guy that runs to this park is a pretty unhappy human being only stay here as the last resort he’s very miserable to deal with. He also has a long list of his rules that he will use to throw you out if you go a couple mile an hour over the speed limit. It’s not really a very nice RV park at 75 bucks a night. It’s a bad value better options down the road in Butte.

The park was beautiful and common areas were well taken care of though it was a bit pricey
