This was our first stay at McLain State Park....Upon arrival we weren’t offered any information about the store hours & ice or where to purchase wood. The young man in the ranger station wasn’t forthcoming about any pertinent information. We were told “so you’re on site #12, it’s over there”.... He pointed in a direction.... The lake is beautiful.Sunsets are breathtaking!Camping along side this majestic body of water is magical!The new campsites under construction aren’t available yet for rental. They look fantastic they need way more like those! We were staying on site #12....AVOID Site #…
