Enota Mountain Retreat

Tried going to visit the two waterfalls yesterday and the gates were locked and the property looked abandoned. Couldn’t find another way to access Gurley Falls or Big Joel falls.

This place traps and abuses volunteers! Sounds great over the phone but upon arrival the evil is revealed. I had a terrible experience. The only redeeming part was the other people in the same boat as me, we bonded and made the best of it until we could leave. I don’t recommend anyone volunteer under her program! I regret deciding to move there.

I called to check their availability and was answered with a hello that sounded slightly annoyed and I asked if I called the right place and she snapped yes. I said I was calling to check their availability and she said no we don’t with the same rude snappy tone. Needless to say they will not be getting my money ever. Do better

The place is in ruins and has been for decades. So much for 'stewardship'. And so much for the greed and hypocrisy that degraded this land since the 1990's. Hopefully, someone will come along who actually has what it takes to properly conserve this scared land.
