Second and last time I’ll use Elk River Floats. I swore I’d never go back but was outvoted on a recent group trip. The office area is filthy—and bathrooms and showers are disgusting. Every kayak we were given was in terrible condition, with rotted or missing bungee cords. Their PFDs are ratty and nasty. The paddles are cheap, heavy, and uncomfortable. At takeout, back at the office, the water was full of trash and old cans. The final insult was a dead cat floating right where we had to step out of our kayaks. This place clearly doesn’t care about maintenance, cleanliness, or customers. Avo…
The staff were tremendous and very helpful any time we had questions. Hard to beat the cost points as well. We will likely be coming back again next year, and certainly enjoy floating the Elk River area.
