We decided to celebrate our anniversary at Elk Lake right before the season ended. The snow cat ride, the special table they set up for us, the dinner and service were amazing. Can’t say enough about how special they made us feel. It was a perfect way to celebrate!
Elk Lake is a super fun winter spot to visit. The new owners are making a lot of improvements to the property. We brought our kids and had a fun screen free weekend. We sat in the lake side sauna and did the polar plunge, the kids loved it. The food was fantastic, far better than we expected for a remote restaurant. The main lodge is a very cozy nice place to hang out. The rustic cabins are extremely rustic, so do be prepared for that, hopefully the new owners can update these. The snow cat ride in was a lot of fun, and the staff were friendly and great. We will come back again!
We are beginner skate skiers and we skied in 11 miles on a freshly groomed trail and it was wonderful. The lodge is beautiful and the food and drinks were awesome. Highly recommend!! We took the snow cat out from the lodge back to Dutchman and it is new, clean and enjoyable. The views of the mountains and lakes are memorable!
Great visit. Only down side is no shampoo or conditioner and or washing machine detergent and door mats. Other than those minimal things it was amazing.
