Campground is great but closed for winter. Trailheads for Renthouse Trail, Chicago Lakes, and Echo Lake are open. Bring your own Firewood, when I was there in the summer it was $10 a bundle.
This place is amazing. Lots of trees to give you sun cover!
Campground itself was pretty clean and maintained. The local ranger is very unfriendly and right off the bat was rude. I understand dealing with campers all the time, but I have never met this rude of a ranger in the last 50+ years of colorado wilderness adventures I have been on.
