Dunewood Campground

Horrific. Won't be back. 2 reasons. 1) Campground has been decimated by IN Governor Braun selling off most of it's lands to suburban home developers, which literally ends at the steps of the campground. Construction noises constantly. Access to beach dunes is now cut off. No longer allowed to hike through to beach access, bc it's all neighborhoods now. Must get in car and drive to be allowed to use a tiny area of the beach where's there's parking. 90% of national lands are GONE. Almost all homes now. 2) Charlene is horrific, calls police on legit campers, after she harasses us, interrogates us…

Clean, wells stocked and easy to navigate.

It's the first few weeks of the season so it's nice and quiet. The trees haven't started to bloom yet, but it's still a great wooded experience. The campsite was well maintained. I saw the National Park Service trucks drive by a few times. Camp host was very kind and informative. Dog friendly. All dogs that I saw were leashed. There is a small Marathon gas station at the camp entrance. I thought it was going to be super pricey but it still is reasonably priced. There is also a Camp Store at the entrance but the owner is still in Florida at the moment. Comes back soon though. There is a Dollar …
