Door County KOA Holiday

First time at this location, we will definitely be back next year to celebrate Halloween. The sites were well taken care of, staff friendly, and the color was gorgeous in October. We have visited KOA's in the west and can say this location had it all, and definitely worth the trip.

We stayed 2 nights at this KOA. Our site was an excellent pull-thru with plenty of shade. As usual with KOA's that we have stayed at in the past, the restroom facilities were clean. Mostly, though, we were impressed with the staff. Brenda is a seasonal worker and she was so incredibly friendly and helpful. Vicki, in the office, was just the same. We will stay here again!

We arrived at 3:30 and our cabin was not ready. They tried putting us in another cabin that was a downgrade. But we needed the one we paid more for, for the space. We ended up waiting over three hours for our cabin to be done. When we got to it the smell of the septic tank just being emptied was horrible and it smelled that way until the next day. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and no one got any sleep. The cabin also wasn’t very clean and well maintained. Check out was another problem. Great staff. All kinds of stuff for the kiddos. And adults too! Many camping set up options. Big park with amenities and open spaces. Less than an hour from G.B. but a little far south if you need close proximity to your rig while doing the DC things like shopping, eating, water, wine, etc...
