An excellent, well-appointed yurt stay in Hope Valley. We recently stayed in one of the yurts at the Desolation Hotel in Hope Valley and loved the overall experience. Everything about the yurt was very well executed. The bed was comfortable, the window shades were easy to use, and having a gas-fired fireplace controlled by a thermostat was incredibly convenient. The bathroom was amazing, and we really appreciated the Grown Alchemist cosmetics provided. The staff was friendly and easygoing throughout our stay. Our after-hours check-in was seamless because they called us with clear instructions…
Such an alluring destination. I LOVE ASPEN TREES SO MUCH! Even in winter, but I will surely be back cone summer/fall to experience more of what Desolation Hotel Hope Valley has to offer! 💚
Feb 2026 This should have been a 5 star. The location is awesome. The room, Doug fir, was very nice. Cute and cozy. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen-dining area is well equipped. The staff was friendly. We dined at the restaurant one night and it was great. We also tried the wood fired sauna. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Here is why it was not a 5 star review. The hotel is listed as a place you can purchase Sno-Park passes. To make sure they actually had passes I emailed the hotel a few weeks before our arrival date. I got no response. Two weeks before arriving I called during business…
