First impression was our stuff is going to get stolen and we might die out here. However, after spending 2 weeks here no one bothered us. None of our stuff was stolen or touched. Everyone waved when they drove by. It is super quiet at night. We would feel bad running our generator and never did super late at night. The people that are there I believe is because they have no where else to live. There are lots of hiking places there and some people have left art work out there. There are no hookups, if you go to the state park, you can dump and refill water for $20. Some people have left trash …
Lots of opportunities for hiking and climbing the hills. Beautiful vista's, sunsets and Calafornia mountains just across the Colorado river. Beautiful star-filled sky's at night. Friendly people. General aviation airport next to the campground entrance where you will sometimes see F-35, Osprey, Helicopters and ultralights. Hot air balloons can frequently be seen. But none of the noise seems to penetrate back to the camping River. Walmart and McDonald's 1 mile from campground entrance. Lots & lots of restaurants & shoping in town (Lake Havasu City).
