Crabtree Falls Campgrounds

If you’re reading the negative reviews and debating trying this place out, just do it. It’s important to remember that you are camping, not glamping. There will be leaves in the bathroom, service is shit, and you may get a picnic table that isn’t brand new. If that bothers you, pick another place. Leave this hidden gem for the rest of us ;) our family came here over thanksgiving break staying in an RV site. It was exactly what we needed. Zero complaints! Camp host is friendly and happy to chat about the cats, our stay, etc.

Camp ground was nice. If your going to tent camp, getting your tent staked down is a little hard in places. Overall the facility was nice. Able to get firewood there at a very reasonable price. Also if you want to get away from it all there is no service there. The sound of the river was so beautiful. Very short distance to the Crabtree falls hike. See pictures

While the location is amazing, the overall vibe is very sketchy. It’s not held to the standards of many other camps we have been to and the clientele can be very inconsiderate. The politics of the county are apparent.
