Here, you can explore Mendocino County's exquisite State Parks such as Montgomery Woods with GIANT Redwoods (20 min drive). Orr Hot Springs (25 min), enjoy restaurants, coastal landscapes and historic village of Mendocino, Ca. (Coastal Hwy 1 , 40 min away) , hiking trails along the headlands and beaches (40 min away), wineries (Anderson Valley 30 min) also hike the pygmy forests nearby in Little River. Fishing and whale watching out of Ft. Bragg. Ca. Skunk Train and Glass Beach, schedule horse back riding on the beach. *Guided Forest therapy, hosted by a dear friend. Must book 1 week minimum in advance. Plus Ocean therapy (including surf lessons for Adults and kids!) Must book 1 week minimum in advance also:) Sunnyland is a VERY REMOTE AND RURAL location. We are an off grid solar homestead. Beautiful redwood grove campsites and views for miles. Stargazing and no light pollution. Meteor showers are the best here! Hiking trails all over the property, hundreds of different wild mushrooms. Bird watching, hearing ravens and hawks right here at our place making for an extra special vibe. We have two very friendly Great Pyrenees, 2 cats, 5 ducks and 10 chickens. Fresh farm eggs available. These animals are all located near the house, and not near the campsites, with the exception of the dogs being known to sleep outside the tents, making campers feel especially safe. Directions: Please contact me for specific instructions on how to get here ahead of your arrival time. Feel free to reach out the day before for directions also. If you are coming from Ukiah, reach out to me there. Or if coming from the coast please reach out to me from Mendocino area since service is very unreliable shortly after both of those towns. Please check in before dark or contact me before for detailed directions. Drive slowly and respectfully for all neighbors and campers. Follow your Bliss.... Kids are absolutely welcome. CELL SERVICE IS SPOTTY. Wifi is available here up at the main house if needed. Water is available at the main house, and anything else you might have forgot please feel to ask:) Campsites are private.

We had a wonderful time at Sunnyland and were so happy with the site! We loved being able to cozy up next to a fire inside the cabin, and making our coffee & enjoying our meals in the outdoor kitchen space. The back deck to the cabin offers a breathtakingly beautiful view as well. It was such a peaceful experience and Sunny is an excellent host. I highly recommend if you want a getaway close to the coast. Thanks for the perfect holiday! We had such a relaxing time and will definitely be back.
Sunny and family were such a pleasure to work with. Located in such a beautiful forest and in prime mushroom foraging territory, which was our reason for choosing the area. We loved the site and experience, will definitely be going back again in the future!
Super comfortable and cute little cabin! Everything we needed was there! A great spot to spend the days either just relaxing and/or to take a day trip to Mendocino (30-45 mins out). If you have a low car or a not so powerful car, the driveway is a little rough so careful!
Everything was great at this tiny cabin! The directions provided before arrival was clear, the road is good and the driveway down to the property is a little uneven but totally fine with a 2wd, no problems at all. Great view from the deck and nice area to walk around. Kitchen well equipped, and plenty of blankets and firewood provided to stay warm and cozy inside the cabin. The outdoor toilet was clean and conveniently located just steps away, way closer than I’d thought. It was lovely meeting Sunny and her sons, as well as her very friendly dogs :) thanks again!
Well maintained camp sites and a lovely cabin in such a gorgeous spot. Sunny was very kind and accommodating and we had so much fun playing with the kids and all the friendly animals. Well-kept pit toilets, potable water, and an outdoor shower and propane stove with the cabin. WiFi worked decently well and sunny gave us great reccomendations of nearby hikes and attractions. Felt 100% safe as two young female travelers .10/10 would reccomend and will be returning!!
