We offer a secluded, ridgetop cabin homestead hand-built with all salvaged, recycled & harvested materials. New to the property is a vintage trailer that can be utilized as overflow for your stay when booking the cabin. If it's not added to your stay, it may be rented to another party. This means you will not have the entire property to yourself, but you will still have plenty of privacy. Each site has it's own kitchen, bathroom, shower, and tub. You are not sharing any amenities. Simple and rustic; yet comfortable with all amenities. This land is "outdoor oriented" meaning outside shower, bathtub, pizza oven, bbq, sauna, laundry room, yardsports, etc. Foraging for huckleberries and wild mushrooms encouraged. Great opportunities for all ocean and river activities. Canines Welcome.

This funky little cabin in the forest was just what I needed. I spent most of my time lounging on the outside bed, and soaking in the tub. The Huckleberries are abundant, and the beach is a short drive 10-15 minutes. What a perfect combination of nature and modern convenience. Highly recommend!

I had a lovely, cozy stay at Bon's cabin. The location is perfect - 10 mins from Elk, 20 mins to Mendocino village, 25 mins to Philo - and the drive is stunning. The cabin itself is incredibly private and cozy with all the amenities, from a full kitchen, to an equipped bathroom, to comfy beds. Then there's the outdoor tub (!!!), wood-fired sauna, and pizza oven. Though Bon has provided space heaters, one of my favorite parts of my stay was keeping the cabin nice and warm with the wood stove. Truly a perfect fall getaway, I can't wait to come back!
Bon's place is a true delight! The cabin is cozy and comfortable and the property is filled with places to explore and be inspired. The kitchen is very well supplied with all the cookware you'll need to craft your culinary treats. This is where to come when you want space to just BE. Give yourself this gift and check out this exceptional property.
I loved it. The land and cabin felt cared for and welcoming. Our stay was in November so pretty cold but very cozy and worth it. We appreciated that the kitchen as well stocked with everything we needed. The outdoor tub was just the best thing ever and the bed inside was like a cloud. Would definitely stay again!
