Beautiful park for canoeing, fishing, hiking, bird watching... The cabins are spacious and clean. Bring your own groceries, supplies as there are no stores nearby.
Taxes and fees are non refundable. They ripped me for over one hundred dollars. Seems pretty criminal to me.
We had a nice visit to Chicot, but be wary of booking your campsite near the common areas (playground) as the park allows for loud excessive music to be played until 10pm. Concert grade speakers. Bass resonating throughout the campground. Not exactly the experience you’d hope for. We will ask more questions next time we visit.
We stayed in the South RV section. Beautiful park and quiet. A couple of sites have steep sides with a deck. No sewer. Road to RV area ìs rough in a few places. Arboretum is worth the visit...fishing is available with license. We will be back!
