It is a fantastic place to vist
Cherry Springs State Park was really amazing. Coming 5 hours from Philly, it's stargazing was unparalleled compared to what we see in the city with all the light pollution. Be prepared to stay out late for the best views and pack smarter than we did, chairs or bare minimum a big picnic blanket to sit or lay on, and dress warm, I don't get cold very easily so I only packed a hoodie on top of the t-shirt I was wearing throughout the day because it was in the 70s during the day, but at night, with that high elevation, it dropped significantly.
