Chattooga River Lodge and Campground

The site was shaded, roomy, close to the creek (perfect sounds for sleeping), and well kept. I would recommend staying.

We stayed here last week, and overall it was a really nice camping experience. The campground offers a lot of privacy, which made it peaceful and relaxing. Some campsites have electric hookups and water connections, which is definitely a plus. The washrooms were clean, though it was a little walk from our site. The only downside was that the campsites didn’t have grills, which was a bit disappointing. Also, there were no nearby trash disposal areas, so we had to either walk about 10–15 minutes to the main lodge office or load the trash into the car and drive it there. Other than those small in…

We love Willy's and we love the campground. This is our go-to after a long day on the River and for a weekend of paddling.

What an outstanding destination. Rooms were great and the facility was awesome.

I will update that the lodge has responded to my email and states they will address this right away. BEWARE!! The entire Hemlock forest has been decimated by the woolly adelgid. It has become a very dangerous place to camp. At least sites 17-19. A tree fell on our campsite right in front of us. These sites need to be immediately closed and dealt with so the dying forest does not harm campers. It is the responsibility of the owners to provide a safe environment for campers and we were not even warned of the current conditions of the forest.
