Bluestone is located right off a quiet, dead end county road on a mountain flanking the quaint Village of Margaretville. Take a 4-minute drive down the mountain into the village to explore its eclectic mix of old and new shops, restaurants, antique stores, art galleries or shop its convenient supermarket! The cabin is close to Bellayre (10.8 miles) and Plattekill Ski (14 miles) resorts, numerous trails, Meadows Golf Center, canoeing and kayaking on the Pepacton Reservoir, trout fishing on the Beaverkill River, the historic Red Barn Farmers Market, the Ark Bowl & BBQ, an eclectic 120‐seat restored 1960's era vintage 8 lane bowling alley! Bluestone is a short drive (4.3 miles) from Kelsey Grammer’s seasonal tavern, Faith American Brewing Co., located on the actor's pastoral dairy farm. Please make sure to verify hours and opening times for all destinations. Most of all, enjoy the natural beauty of the Western Catskills! A vehicle is necessary to get around. There is no or limited Uber or transportation services in the area. In the winter months when snow is likely (October through April) AWD or 4WD is recommended along with all weather or snow tires with good tread. We want your stay to be safe, comfortable, and smooth.
