This family owned campground has a friendly and personable feel that you don’t often find. The owners are kind and helpful. The bath house was incredibly clean and well-stocked. Endless hot water! The campsites are a great size, and back up to the creek - nature’s sound machine. It is located right off of I-40, and less than half a mile from the Catawba Falls Trail Head - a beautiful hike. One quick.note - Old Fort is a dry town. You can order beer, wine, etc in the restaurants but you cannot purchase it there.
