As the previous review stated, the water was not on. I don’t think this is necessarily a problem since it is completely understandable for the winter, I just think this should be communicated. We didn’t have a problem with the stove, although we couldn’t figure out the heater. We followed the instructions but no luck, that could have been user error though. The past review also instilled a sense of worry over whether the bedding was clean or not. The sheets were camo so I couldn’t tell and that did stick with me. The location was very easy to find, the sites were easy to navigate, and the clubhouse was clean and comfortable! The tent sites were primitive and secluded from the RV sites and clubhouse for a more intimate experience!
Solid tent sites, were a little difficult to find at night but not too bad. Showers and bathrooms were great.
I arrived after dark and left the next morning so I didn’t get much time to explore, but I was quite pleased. The tent sites were beautiful and well maintained. The bunkhouse was a nice feature to be able to use the bathroom, boil some water for my nighttime tea and I found it very clean. My only complaint would be that the tent sites were not marked at all. The road to get to the sites is very clearly marked and they’re easy to find, but once you’re there, it is not clear which site is which. In fact, I’m pretty sure I used the wrong one, which wasn’t a big deal because no one else was campin…
Great place to stay for the weekend! Visited Mesa Verde and place was perfect.
